Shared Experiences

As a CompTech student I had a lot of experiences in Mahardika Institute of Technology, Inc (MIT). It started when I was in freshman. Subjects in college are quiet difficult than in high school.  It requires a thorough understanding and analysis especially in Mathematics and in Programming subjects. But, my friends and I does not only focus academically we had also some extra-curricular activities. At first, I was confused because of my schedule. Some of my subjects were at the ground floor then on the next period was at the fourth floor while the last period at the second floor. One of the very tiring experiences I had was to line up on the cashier’s lane during enrollment and in every term of exam. During my sophomore year, I had a better college life than my freshman year. I’ve became a player in sepak takraw and also I joined the dance fusion contest. Thanks God! My team won in these contests.

My course is only an associate, but I am confident that my learning in MIT is even better than in other school. Though I am only one of the associate student, I had several learning experiences in terms of theoretical and practice components. I had mastered the four most important components in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point and Desktop publisher). Yeah! my course is in computer field right? There were times that I spent most of my nights in researching and doing assignment in my netbook. Sometimes, I passed my assignment through e-mail using yahoo messenger. In terms of my programming courses, I had encountered a lot of programming languages since my course is a ladderized course of BS Information Technology. That is, after I graduate in Computer Technology all of my subjects will be credited in BSIT so I’ll be automatically a junior student in IT if I am going to proceed. Programming languages like C++, C Language, Assembly language and Visual Basic were the most popular in our class though Java and PHP is only taught in higher year. Coding and designing in these programming languages were very interesting but it requires a deep patience plus analization and understanding, so to everyone who wish to pursue a Computer Courses the only thing that I can give you is a piece of advice. Programming is a difficult task but if you have perseverance and faith to yourself believe me whatever problems given to you by your instructors you can always do it. Always have hope and faith to the almighty. Being a Computer Technology student we are not only required to master codes in these programming language, we are also being hone in assembling and disassembling of computer hardware. I am glad that Sir Jeff and Sir Ferm shared their skills and knowledge to us patiently. Indeed, MIT had helped me in improving my skills both in academic and extra-curricular and I am very much thankful to our dearest adviser Ms. Elma I. Halipa. Thank you so much mom for always being there for us. thank you for your kind and untiring love and understanding. You’ll always be remembered by us.

MIT had contributed a lot with what who I am today. Wherever I’ll be in the future after graduation, MIT will be always in my heart. You might ask me why did I choose to study at MIT? I even passed the scholarship in other universities, and after the high school graduation I intend to pursue my studies in Zamboang City, but my mom would miss me so much so she decided that I rather study at MIT, after all MIT is just a few meters from my Aunt’s house and Bongao is only a few miles from Sitangkai. Yeah! I am a native of Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi, the venice of the south and I am proud to be one. Though MIT was my mom’s choice, I didn’t have any regrets with that. It is here in MIT where I met my best friends and where I am totally developed emotionally and physically. Mabuhay and thank you so much MIT…
